NEW CAMPAIGN: PICK UP THE PACE
Jubilee Debt Campaign's new Pick Up the Pace campaign is calling for further and faster debt cancellation for the world's poorest countries.
Nearly ten years after the Birmingham G8 summit in 1998, when world leaders promised to drop the debt, debt cancellation is coming too slowly, and is too limited, for millions of people living in poverty.
Thanks to campaigners, there has been substantial progress on debt in the past decade, but our job is not done. Only 20% of what is needed has so far been achieved. Let's get things moving.

DROP THE DEBT FAST: 12 APRIL-18 MAY
The Drop the Debt Fast is a 36-day rolling fast, to highlight the plight of 36 countries which still need substantial debt cancellation. We are asking supporters to consider fasting for one day or more, between 12 April and 17 May, to show solidarity with the people of countries still suffering under a huge debt burden.
You can find out more and sign up online at: http://www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/fast
There is also a detailed Q&A and a list showing the country assigned to each day.
We also encourage supporters, while fasting, to make chain links to bring or send to Birmingham for the 18th May. These will be used in a mass action at the Journey to Justice 10th anniversary event, to demand further action on debt. Fasters will be able to download a template chain from our website shortly - but feel free to be creative!
So, visit http://www.jubileedebtcampaign.org.uk/fast to find out more.
