Soul Sista

Easter Lessons - Where's the dinosaur

An Easter Poem

FCCT Events Calendar

Soul Sista

On February 16th 20 girls and 5 youth leaders from Farnham (and the surrounding area!) attended the ‘Soul Sista Day Event’ at Soul Survivor in Watford. The girls came from Weybourne Baptist, St Peters in Wrecclesham, St James’ in Rowledge, Pioneer People, Vineyard, Jubilee and St Mary’s in Bentley. It was fantastic to have so many girls from different congregations come together!

Soul Sista is a ministry for girls, and is part of the ‘Soul Survivor’ family. They run a series of events involving worship, teaching and ministry for girls throughout the year.

The day was attended by 650 girls and was called ‘Amazing’ it looked at ‘How amazing it is to be you, How amazing it is to be a girl and How amazing it is to be a girl who belongs to God’. There were times of worship and ministry together as well as a café, chocolate fountain, smoothie bar, shop, pamper area and thrift shop.

Some comments from the girls who attended:

‘I was Especially impressed by the speakers - they were 'real' and in touch with issues facing girls of my age’.

‘The day became a huge turning point for me, along with it being heaps of fun, it also brought lots of thoughts along with it. God really did speak to me on this day and I’m so glad I went! I gave my life to God soon after and love everything about it. Thank you very much, it was an AMAZING day cannot wait for more to come!’

You can find out more about Soul Sista at www.soulsista.co.uk..

I hope to arrange another town wide trip to the next day event – contact me if you would like to be kept in touch gemma@fcct.org.uk

 Easter Lessons

Where's the Dinosaur?

Thank you for every single prayer these past two weeks. God has been with us
in a marvelous way - every lesson and assembly has been really well received.

One teacher said "There was a real buzz in the school today because you (the Team) were here".

We are not into numbers but just for your encouragement we have already been able to tell the Easter story to over
1500 primary school children!

It has been wonderful to see teachers and classroom assistants also making the craft activities - in one school, even the Head teacher popped in and ended up painting an egg!

It was wonderful to hear another teacher say "it was lovely just to have the time and space to sit quietly and paint my egg".

Thank you is not enough to everyone who has given their time to be helping with the preparation, or helping in the classroom but THANK YOU!!!

We are looking forward to a busy week again, and we will be seeing some of
you soon.

Please keep praying - God is working His purposes out in Farnham and it's so exciting to be a small part of it.

God bless you and your families.

We are praying for a special Easter time for all of you this year.

Oh yes - dinosaurs - one pupil asked where the dinosaurs were to decorate
his Easter basket with - sorry no dinosaurs just flowers and butterflies.

An Easter Poem by a year 5 pupil

Where is He?

I stopped, I stared

Where was He
Then I saw,
The Light
The Light
The Light

I went round a corner
Then I saw, there
Two things, like angels
Crowding a body,
The Lord
The Lord
The Lord
