Hi everyone

 

We arrived back from Thailand on Monday.  About 40 attended the Kairos training sessions at ChiangMai.

 

 

 

The subsequent Consultation gathered about 150 people representing 27 of the 30 countries working with Kairos in 10 languages.  We really enjoyed being in such a multi-cultural environment. It was exciting networking with the wider Kairos family and hearing all the country reports. We particularly appreciated meeting Max and Dorothy Chismon and hearing the full story of how this mission movement was birthed in the Philippines in 1994 to mobilise the church to least reached or hidden people groups. How it very much grew as a God idea, in response to someone asking Max in 1989, ‘what he was doing to reach the unreached with the Gospel of Jesus?’

 

One special highlight, during some free time, was an elephant ride in the jungle area north of Chiang Mai. We also enjoyed our short holiday on Phuket which gave us time to relax after the busy consultation schedule.

 

Thanks for all your prayers.  We have now received a full re-imbursement from the insurance for our cancelled flights! Duncan is awaiting results from the ct angio-gram on Tues, 4^thNov. We are free to travel until his next appointment in early January. Please continue to pray for our health and our family.

 

We travel to Goiania, Brazil on Sunday 9^th Nov and will begin preparations for an intensive course in Igreja Vitoria on Monday 17^th – 21^st Nov. Further longer format courses will follow. We are particularly praying about training Head Facilitators. We also have a planned meeting with Pr Alexandre in Pontalina to follow-up our shared time in Thailand and to plan some more courses with him. We return to the UK on 16^th Dec.
