Kairos in Brazil Update
24th November
All well here. The first course was a success - 12 participants and training 3 facilitators.
Pr Robson has been amazing and has really caught the vision. He wants all his congregation to do a Kairos course and already has plans as to who will be responsible for Kairos in his church in the future - this is just what we have been praying for.
We spent the weekend taking part at a couples weekend at a local hot springs resort - we had some responsibilites but it was also a chance to grab a little relaxation.
Today we begin training 7 more facilitators.
The next course starts next Monday evening in Igreja CMA with Pr Julio and will run every evening Mon - Sat + 3 more evenings in the following week- again quite intensive but it will be attended mainly by people who have jobs in the day - and Brazilian culture is very much one of having study in the evening.
Tomorrow we go to the YWAM and speak at the base devotional meeting and then we are sharing re Kairos with the Base director and leadership team - this could potentially be a major breakthrough for Kairos - Albania and Romania YWAM teams are already using Kairos as part of their DTS training.
Junior and Lorena from YWAM did the course with us last week and they will attend the facilitator training this week . They are really excited about the possibility of a partnership with us.
Tomorrow evening we are travelling to Pontalina to meet and stay with Alexandre - (he went to Thailand with us). He has arranged meetings with other pastors in the town and wants to plan Kairos course for early next year.
So our time has mapped out really well............
Many thanks for all your prayers
