Friday 4^th September 2009

Hi everyone,

Brazil Ball Well the bags are packed yet again and we are ready to fly to Brazil this evening. Thanks so much to all who have helped make this possible. We know we are going with your prayers and care.

We will arrive in Goiania tomorrow morning at about 10am (4 hours behind UK time) and pick up a hire car. The first week we will stay with friends Paulinho and Rachel. We have some time to schedule with friends and churches in Goiania. Then we will travel 4 hours by car to Uberlandia in Minas Gerais, (Flavio and Karen’s home town).

Kairos Course 1, 13- 20^th Sept at Missao Vide (Vine), Uberlandia – with Rubia + about 20 participants. Facilitators are travelling from YWAM in Goiania to help us (see below for names) + we hope that Divino, from Uberlandia, who trained with us one year ago, will also be able join us as a Facilitator.

Followed by a drive of about 14 hours:-

Kairos Course 2, 22^nd – 30^th Sept at Itabirito, near Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais with friends Edmilson and Giovanna who were missionaries in Leeds for 1 year based with Linda Harding. They did Kairos in Berlin and want to complete their training to be facilitators. Seth from YWAM in Goiania, will also join us as he has links with the local church – GOD coincidence! About 20 participants expected.

Drive back to Goiania, breaking our journey at Uberlandia to do some facilitator training with Rubia.

Kairos Intensive course 3, 6- 10 th October at YWAM base in Goiania, Goias with DTS students. Facilitators will be Luciana, Meriele, Jampah and Seth. This is an important link with YWAM in Brazil.

Drive of about 90km:-

Kairos Intensive course 4, 13-17^th October at Pontalina, Goias with 4 churches sending participants. Facilitators will be Alexandre, who travelled to the Kairos International Consultation in Thailand and Sheila, both of whom did the first Kairos course with us in Goiania in April 2007.

Please pray for the specific outcome - that we can leave a National Team of facilitators who will be passionate guardians of the course and who will play a role in the Kairos family worldwide.

for energy and good health. Time and space to relax
for all the long journeys by car – the roads are not always of a good standard – many pot holes.
for our family- Becky and Kathryn in London and Rob and Heather in Siria, near Arad, Romania.
for Junio and Lorena, Brazilian Head Facilitators for Kairos + Mario jnr, Lika and Marcelo as they settle in South Africa and look for links to use Kairos as a tool to alert the church to reach Unreached People Groups.
