Churches Together in Farnham - Plan of Action and Update
CHURCHES TOGETHER IN FARNHAM
PLAN OF ACTION and UPDATE
At a meeting of Churches Together in Farnham on April 30th 2009, facilitated by Revd Sue Loveday, Coordinator for Churches Together in Surrey, the following plan of action was agreed:-
As Churches Together in Farnham we will have a period of Sabbatical until May 1st 2010
During this time we will
- Map what we do already
- Discern what new things we might do and what might be ended.
3. Consult with our local congregations and networks, especially the younger members
For 1-3 Questionnaire sent. See transcript of all responses and summary Themes
- Have a dialogue with the Farnham Christian Community Trust. FCCT has gone through a period of change this year, and now offers Admin support, office space and copying facilities. Applications for funding should now go to Catalyst, which seeks to fund projects involving two or more churches.
5. Discover what would add value to our mission in, to and with the communities of Farnham
Replies support CTF's current joint activities, but do not propose new activities for CTF as a whole at this time. However it is suggested that smaller groups of churches within CTF may wish to work together on new initiatives.
6. Look at what we need to do at a minimum to remain constitutional
Constitution has already been changed to require just one meeting (AGM) each year.
Underpin all of this with prayer in our congregations
In order to create appropriate relationships and structures for our future mission
