On Thursday 21st of December FYE hosted its 6th Battle of the Bands Youth Event @ Farnham Maltings. The Christmas Special Event was attended by Approx 480 young people from Farnham and the surrounding area. The 6 Bands playing were from local schools and colleges, each played 15-20 minute sets including at least one ‘Christmas’ Cover.
The event saw many young people attending in Christmas Fancy Dress, standout costumes included angels, a Turkey, Mrs santa Claus and Mr Tumnus (from Narnia).
The evening was kindly supported by ‘Curbsurfers’ Skate Shop and ‘Stagebeat’ both of whom donated prizes that were given away over the course of the evening.
More events are planned throughout 2007 although dates are still to be confirmed
