Hi everyone

This is a long overdue update. As you will remember we went to Brazil during Duncan’s half term last October and held several Kairos course taster meetings in Goiania. Since then, alongside teaching and other commitments we have been training as Kairos Course facilitators with Linda Harding and Ron Viner. This has been specifically to launch the newly translated materials in Portuguese as CursoKairos in Brazil.

So we are travelling to Goiania again on Friday – this week, 30^th March!

We travel from Heathrow on Friday evening and arrive in Goiania on Saturday 31^st lunch time

31^st – 15^th April – in Goiania

Sunday 1st April – 6^th April - finalising details of the course

Saturday 7^th – we will be doing some course training for Levy Santana. We originally met Levy in Goiania. He has recently been living and working in High Wycombe, Bucks. We invited him to do the Kairos course at Maidenhead. He is very excited about going back to Goiania in April specifically to get married in August but before that he can help us with this first course!

Sunday 8^th – team meeting with Levy and Ron Viner, an experienced Kairos Facilitator who has been

co-ordinating the launch into Brazil, but non Portuguese speaker. Ron will just have arrived from the UK.

Monday 9-Friday 13^th April – CursoKairos to be held at Maranatha Church – 8.30-6.30 everyday.

Sunday 15^th April fly to Sao Paulo. Hold CursoKairos Taster at Braganca Paulista, Sao Paulo from 2-5pm- possibly 40 people from several churches

Monday 16^th Duncan flies home to start the Summer Term at school again on Tuesday 17^th.

Monday 16^th and Tuesday 17^th – Jan and Ron fly to Rio de Janeiro- tasters and meeting with Baptist Missionary Society in Rio
Wednesday 18^th Thursday 19^th - TBA- possibly Vitoria? or more time in Criciuma?

Friday 20^th - travel to Florianopolis and on to Criciuma,in state of Santa Catarina in south of Brazil
Saturday 21^st - Sunday 22^nd - tasters/meetings in Criciuma
Monday 23^rd - travel back to SP and evening flight back to UK-

Tuesday 24^th – arrive Heathrow

Wednesday 25^th – Jan returns to teaching (1 ½ days teaching children with English as second language).

Final preparations for course- that all the plans will come to a good fulfillment
We will have the “right”/strategic people on the course – those who can influence others and perhaps be trained as Facilitators to “own” the course for Brazil.
Our language ability
Energy to cope with the intensive course and language demands
Travel arrangements - especially for the travel to other cities
Health
Our specific, immediate future with CursoKairos in Brazil
The use of a car in Goiania would be extremely helpful!!!!
