Worship Has Never Been So much Fun!

Just as I wouldn't want to give away the ending of a really good book or film, so I do not want to let out all the zany surprises and explosive fun that is the Jim Bailey family show. What an afternoon! Families filled the
Hale Primary school hall to capacity and danced, sang, grooved and laughed to the magic and multimedia, comedy and capers of Jim and his team. You really never knew what was going to happen next - and when it did, it was amazing! But I won't tell - you'll just have to look out for his family show again. .www.jimbailey.org <http://www.jimbailey.org/> and the camels!!!

As a conclusion to their Food Week, Jim led an assembly at Potters Gate primary school about eating Fruit and how our bodies are "fearfully and wonderfully designed" (Psalm 139). It was wonderful to see the children
participating joyfully, laughing and singing along with him.

On Saturday morning, Jim led two workshops on Visual storytelling and ‘What is All Age
worship’. He encouraged all the 17 attendees in their children's work by reaffirming the materials they use already and showing us how to be creative when planning children's activities. The ideas were presented with a great deal of fun and laughter and lots of cups of tea! I loved the way All Age worship was likened to a family Sunday dinner (Grandma would love chicken every week, Dad doesn't like the way you've cooked the carrots, Dave hates broccoli and Mum tried to roast the  meat in a new  way  and  it went disastrously wrong, and Jenny just loved the gravy), Lots of audience participation and thinking.

Of course the whole weekend was a great success thanks to God! I really valued the prayer support and help over the past weeks and months, especially to everyone who gave of their time on the day. THANKYOU!

Please continue to pray for a successful donor match and bone marrow transplant for
Jim's 12 year old daughter Rebekah (details on his website updated weekly).

FarnhamFarnhamFarnhamFarnhamFarnhamFarnhamFarnhamFarnham Assemblies And Schools Team

So the summer months have started, the Year 2 and 6 Sats are over, and our primary school children
are enjoying their  residential weeks away, end of year concerts and church services, summer fetes
and sports days etc.

The Fast team have recently had the great privilege of helping the Year 6 children at Hale with their activities week, which included adveture trails and storytelling in Alice Holt, a visit to London to see the Lion King and aboriginal art.

However all of our Year 6 children are also thinking about their next move on to their choice of Secondary school and we have the opportunity to lead a "Moving On" assembly for many of them.
We encourage them to think about new friendships, to not make instant judgements about people and to reflect on the changes in store and who can support them. It is also a handover assembly from the Farnham Assemblies and Schools Team over to the Youth Team where we introduce Chris, Gemma and Nicola who they can meet at Heath End and Weydon schools and at various youth clubs and drop ins in Farnham. We include with this assembly a fun morning workshop where a prize is given for the best team who work together - (bit like The Apprentice then!).

We would like to offer our prayers for all the children and staff we have had the great pleasure to get to know and work alongside this academic year, and finally wish everyone a very restful and enjoyable summer holiday. See you in September!!!

God bless from Linda, Maggie and Joan
