Jubilee Debt Campaign, News and Action Update June 2007
GERMAN G8 FAILS URGENCY TEST
Despite massive global pressure forcing poverty back onto the agenda, the meeting of G8 leaders in Germany this month failed to take the urgent action needed - including on vulture funds. Next month MPs will have a chance to find out more about irresponsible past lending, and how to make sure it doesn't happen in the future, at a briefing meeting in parliament. We need you to encourage them to attend!

DEBT AND CLIMATE CHANGE
Jubilee Debt Campaign's latest briefing looks at the injustice of poor country debt alongside the threat of catastrophic climate change. On both counts, the rich world is largely responsible, but the poor are paying: so who really owes whom?
