You may not have been informed via the mainstream media, that Rob Frost -evangelist, preacher, presenter, author, and Founder of Easter People, slipped painlessly into eternity on Sunday at 11.40pm, surrounded by his family.

Rob was diagnosed with skin cancer in June, and was undergoing treatment. He started to feel tired due to liver failure, caused by secondary melanoma, and was admitted into hospital on Wednesday 7th.

Those of you who had been planning to attend his audience led panel discussion 'Burning Questions' (about how our Christian life can impact contemporary aspects of our culture) at St Saviours, Woodbridge Rd, in Guildford (7.30pm for 7.50pm) on Monday 19 November, being broadcast by Premier Radio, are encouraged to still go. John Pantry is stepping into Rob's place.

Its fair to say Rob's ministry has touched and enriched hundreds of thousands of lives in the UK and is credited by the Methodist Church for having inspired a whole new generation of ministers. He lectured at London School of Theology, wrote 25 books, and hosted Premier Radio's current affairs programme Frost on Sunday.

Rob was responsible for founding mission charity 'Share Jesus International' 20 years ago, and from this base Easter People celebrated its second decade last year, hundreds of city missions have been birthed, and theatre productions such as 'Hopes and Dreams' featuring Cliff Richard's Millennium Prayer were created.

Rob also served as president of Release International supporting persecuted Christians around the world.

In spite of his immense giftings, Rob retained a humility that touched all who worked with him. He leaves behind his wife Jaqui, two sons, Andy and Chris, and his father Ronald.

A thanksgiving service which will be open to all, is to be organised for January, and anyone who wishes to make a donation in his memory is invited to contribute to Pentecost Festival 2008 (9-11 May), one of the last initiatives Rob was working on.
