DRAFT FLFI Vision and Mission Statement

 

Vision Statement

 

To create a local food social enterprise that promotes the enjoyment of all aspects of local food culture; co-operatively organises the production and distribution of fresh, local food; actively cultivates a sense of community by reconnecting people to the land; and works to develop a sustainable community agriculture, in partnership with local farms around Farnham, capable of delivering a range of social, economic and environmental benefits to the local community.

 

Mission Statement

 

To manage a successful local food co-operative social enterprise that produces, in a sustainable way, good, safe and fairly priced fresh local food for members and residents of Farnham and district. To serve members’ need for access to participatory involvement with the work on the land as well as providing an amenity for recreational site visits by members.

Farnham Local Food Initiative Update
The Farnham Local Food Initiative is gearing up for the new growing season in 2010. Based on donated land in Runfold, this not-for-profit community scheme brings together volunteers to grow fresh produce for local people. More ...
